Start Up/Weekly Maintenance Guidelines

LEISURE TIME RESERVE/RENEW

Fresh Fill (start-up)

  1. Add Metal Gon during the fill cycle.

  2. Check your pH level and balance. (7.2-7.8)

  3. Check your Total Alkalinity level and balance. (80-120 ppm)

  4. Add pH BALANCE to reduce the need to adjust your pH for up to 3 months.(optional, if adding pH BALANCE DO NOT EXCEED 150ppm for calcium hardness and SKIP step 5, DO NOT ADD CALCIUM BOOSTER)

  5. Check your Calcium Hardness level and balance. (150-400 ppm)

  6. When adjusting pH, total alkalinity and calcium hardness refer to the back label of the coordinating chemical bottle to calculate exact measurements to add in order to achieve the correct levels.

  7. Add 4oz of RESERVE per 250gallons of water.

  8. Add (4oz per 250gal) of RENEW to release available bromine in water containing RESERVE.

Regular Spa Care (weekly)

  1. Regularly test water for pH, total alkalinity, and bromine levels. *Follow steps 1-4 in the start-up list.

  2. Add (1oz/250gal.) of RESERVE to maintain a sufficient bank of bromide in the water.

  3. Maintain between 1.0-3.0 ppm bromine levels at all times.

  4. Add RENEW to the spa once a week or as needed (2oz per 250gal).  *Additional shocking may be required if the spa is under heavy use (more than 3 times a week, 4oz per 250gal). RENEW TABS can be used. Follow instructions on back of the bottle.

  5. Add 2oz of Bright and Clear for clear and clean spa water

  6. Add 2oz of Defender to prevent scale.

  7. Add (1oz per 250gal) of Enzyme to remove oils, lotion and organics from spa water.

8.    Check your filters.  If they are dirty, use Filter Cleaner to clean them.  *Best results are achieved when filters are soaked in filter cleaner over night (make sure to rinse filters before placing back into spa).  Dirty filters may cause cloudy water, low jet pressure or FLO errors in hot tub.

IMPORTANT                                                                                                                          *Circulate water for 1 minute in between each chemical. Circulate water for 10 minutes after all chemicals are added. **It is recommended that the spa cover be cleaned on a monthly basis. ***Its also recommended to drain and refill every 3 months or when the spa is having major problems.
