Georgia Spa Company opened its first store in the spring of 2004 at the Mall of Georgia in Buford, GA with a vision from owner’s Mark and Joy Stevens. The Stevens had previously owned a John Deere Tractor Dealership in Snellville GA. After selling the John Deere Dealership the Stevens were looking to enter a new avenue of retail sales and the hot tub industry was very attractive to them. Mark and Joy had recently purchased a new Bullfrog Spa for their home. During their shopping experience they noticed that there was not many hot tub stores in northeast Georgia and Atlanta. They also noticed that most dealers in the Atlanta market did not deliver or service the spas that they sold. The Stevens knew customer service built a strong business and learned from the best lawn and garden tractor company, John Deere.
Mark contacted Bullfrog Spas International and inquired about opening a store on the northeast side of Atlanta. Bullfrog Spas was excited to partner with the Stevens on their new store. From the beginning Georgia Spa Company has delivered and serviced every spa they have sold, having this level of service has always been top priority for Mark. Georgia Spa Company quickly became a destination many north Georgia families visited to pick out the perfect spa for their family. During the first year of business Georgia Spa Company was recognized as one of Bullfrog Spas top dealers in the U.S. This recognition has continued each year since.
In 2006, Georgia Spa Company noticed that quite a few spas they were selling were going towards the Athens market. Early in 2007 they expanded to a second store when they opened a new location on Atlanta Hwy in Athens. Georgia Spa Company was now in a great position to serve their existing Athens customers with water analysis, chemicals and hot tub accessories. A new showroom attracted future customers and showcased the wonderful line of Bullfrog Spas.
In January 2008 Georgia Spa Company moved from their original showroom in Buford to a brand new shopping center just up the road from their original location. The new store was double the size of the original store and allowed to show many more spas in the store. This same move was made in the Athens Store in January 2009.
In late 2010 Georgia Spa Company added Watkins Manufacturing brands HotSpring Spas and Caldera Spas to the line up of quality spas they sell.
In August of 2012 Georgia Spa Company added a third showroom to the Metro Atlanta area with the opening of their Kennesaw GA. The Kennesaw store store has over 30 hot tubs on display at all times along with the Big Green Egg line. This store is conveniently located off Barrett Parkway about 1 mile from Town Center at Cobb Mall.
Today Georgia Spa Company operates their three stores and a separate warehouse / refurbishment center. Georgia Spa Company employees 25 employees and continues to deliver and service every hot tub they sell in-house. Georgia Spa Company now has more than 10,000 customers that depend on them for service of their spa. From day one Georgia Spa Company’s motto has been “When Service and Quality Counts”!
